Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Conference 2026

Alyssa Geis, MPH, CCLS, has extensive experience in child life services, beginning with a role as Outpatient Surgery Certified Child Life Specialist at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center from September 2010 to June 2018. In this position, Alyssa provided developmentally appropriate support for patients undergoing surgery, collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans, and coordinated a week-long camp program for patients and families. Additional roles at the same institution included Child Life Fellow and Certified Child Life Specialist in both cardiothoracic surgery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. From June 2018 to August 2022, Alyssa worked at Dell Children's Medical Center as a Cardiac Surgery Service Line Certified Child Life Specialist, followed by a position as Child Life Supervisor at Dell Children’s Comprehensive Care Clinic until August 2023. Currently, Alyssa serves as a Child Life Clinical Specialist at Texas Children's Hospital and holds a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina, obtained in 2020.
