Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Conference 2026

Maria Chroneos is interested in how brain networks organize across development to support cognitive and functional behavior. She is particularly interested in reorganization and plasticity in individuals with neurological disorders, injuries, and other disruptions to these processes, and she has a long-term goal of guiding clinical understanding, decision-making, and interventions through her research. Maria is currently studying eye movements and visual processing in pediatric patients who have undergone cortical resection to treat epileptic seizures. She is incredibly honored to be here at PESA for the third time this year, and excited to share research findings from data gathered at previous PESA conferences back to the community.
