Dr. Mary Jeno is a pediatric neurologist who cares for hospitalized children when they have experienced a brain injury, with a focus on helping them return to full lives. She is particularly interested in treating children affected by traumatic brain injury due to physical abuse.
Jeno's research includes comparative studies of patients who suffered accidental anoxic brain injury (caused by the absence of oxygen) with those who experienced abusive head trauma. She is also involved in a multicenter study looking at outcomes for patients who undergo palliative epilepsy surgery (procedures to reduce seizures).
Jeno earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She completed a residency in child neurology at the University of Iowa.
