About me
Rosalia Costello, PsyD, is a pediatric psychologist with UT Health Austin who practices at Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. Dr. Costello specializes in diagnosing and treating behavioral and mental health disorders in children and adolescents, including substance abuse, self-harm, anxiety and depression. Dr. Costello uses a neuropsychological evaluation to diagnose children and young adults with drug-resistant epilepsy who may be a candidate for neurosurgical treatment. She also is a specialist in evaluating behavioral health conditions associated with spina bifida, autoimmune encephalopathy and genetic conditions.
Dr. Costello is an assistant professor of medicine at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Neurology. She participates in clinical research that focuses on health disparities and bilingual brain development in children and has presented papers at national and international medical conferences. She is active in professional medical associations: Hispanic Neuropsychological Society board of directors, American Psychological Association’s Division 40, Association of Neuropsychology Students and Trainees, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and their pediatric special interest groups, and Queer Neuropsychological Society.
